"You mustn't press him. After all, he's not a tame lion."

Ah, my darling family. Went to the dentist this morning with Da, and then Sports Authority to get new skates (my old ones were literally falling apart). Then we gathered up Mum and the brat and went to Barnes & Noble, where I picked up two of the three books I wanted the grand'rents to get me for Hanukkah and Da got a Hanukkah present for Mum and a copy of the new illustrated Elements of Style for himself. Then we went out to the movies. Mum, Da, and the brat saw King Kong and I had no interest in seeing it, so I saw Chronicles of Narnia.

It was beautiful, but I didn't like it. The scenery was breath-taking and the make-up exquisite, but I didn't like it. It was very close to the book in most important respects, and that's why I didn't like it.

C.S. Lewis doesn't like girls. I don't care what Da says to the contrary. Susan uses the spiffy bow once and Lucy runs around looking pouty. *shakes head* At least Tolkien's women have swords.

Edmund should just have been named Judas and the hell with it. I'd forgotten quite how sledgehammer that part was.

Tilda Swinton : Chronicles of Narnia as David Bowie : Labyrinth. Evidence:

vs.

and

vs.

I rest my case.
