First and foremost, Operation Roadtrip is a definite go. Tickets for the convention and the Greyhound buses are ordered, which are the only things that absolutely need doing before I leave (other than packing, but that's something else). Sadly, Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson) cancelled, but I'll survive. *sniffle* Somehow.
This decision came after a big huge nasty argument with Mum (and Da, but he was moderating, almost) on Sunday night. Due to Mum's lovely delay tactics, I'll have to pick up the tickets at the convention, rather than getting them in the mail, but I'll live. I really hate arguing with her, even if I got what I wanted. I mean, really hate arguing with her.
Had physical with the doc on Monday, who declared me mostly healthy, as usual. She perscribed me the antibiotics I need for when I get my teeth cleaned (due to my mitral valve prolapse, the other hearth defect) and then I got both a tetanus booster (they want them every five years now, bleh) and this year's flu shot. Then I got labs done, so I had to part with three or four vials of blood and 100 ml or whatever it was of urine. I hate needles -- used to need Mum to sit on me to get blood drawn or shots -- and in one day they got me with three needles and I had to pee inna cup. *is still traumatised* And, to make matters worse, I got one shot in each arm, and my arms still hurt, and it's been two days. And my hands keep going numb. Work last night was not fun.
The medical nightmare isn't over yet, because I've got both the appointment with the cardiac surgeon from the Hospital Center about the ablation and a gynecology appointment in mid-November. The ablation will then occur a few weeks later, presumably. (I've got another health doodle going on now, too, but I don't want to talk about it for fear of scaring people. It's independent of everything I've mentioned so far, though. Therefore, before you ask, no, I'm not pregnant. :-P )
Danse Macabre is going well, if bloodily, but that's on purpose. I should have it done on time. *crosses fingers*
And now, for laughs:
I happen to know for a fact that this is wrong. There is at least one other girl in America with my exact name; I went to sleep-away camp with her. Same spelling and everything. *is amused*
