One Down, Three to Go

*runs around like headless chicken*

On the plus side, I'm at least mildly productive, especially considering that work keeps pouncing on me and expecting me to do things.

Because really? It's not a good thing to be woken up by a call to your cell that you're late for a meeting no one told you about. Seriously not on.

So I promised some listing:

Four Things I Have to Write in the Next Week:
  • due today: draft of Monday Answer: How do you indicate internal thought vs. dialogue? finished about 15 minutes ago
  • due Friday: draft of Friday Feature: Tenses and POV in Fiction
  • due Saturday: finished piece for imaginarybeasts, theme: travel [I have a rough idea for this, but no idea if it actually works]
  • due Monday: jd_ficathon piece [started it today, but discovered that I have to make some revisions to make sure that it's canon-compliant]

Plus, on the jd_ficathon front, I've already had to hand out two extensions and had one bit of drama to deal with. Jesus, it's only 32 people. How do the 100+ ficathons deal?

Tell me, why do I do this to myself, again?

And Mum and Da are insisting on coming to therapy tomorrow. And I completely forgot to call the therapist so we could develop a plan of attack. Kill me now.

And now I need to go to bed, because I have to be at work at 6:30a. Which I only found out today. Surprise!

THANK YOU for doing the ficathon. *doe eyes*

I'll be out of town on the due date but I will have computer access, so I hope to be able to post on schedule. I'll be exploring my options, including posting early, over the next few days.

*goes back to finishing up the lovely, lovely story*

And that it why I just said fuck it and turned on the moderated posting. I know I have at least one other person who's going to be away, and another who's going to be having surgery this weekend. I decided it would make things a little easier.

Eh, drama is a part of life. I'm just glad that *knock on wood* it's only a little drama.
