Bad News: Said health insurance doesn't cover any of my mental health costs, including medication. This is Not Good.
Bad News: The medicine that keeps me functional costs upwards of $80 for one month's supply.
Good News: The Humane Society wants the two slightly moth-eaten wool blankets Mum wants to get rid of.
Bad News: Someone from Charbucks told the short-term disability folks that I hadn't actually taken medical leave in January and February.
Good News: The agent assigned to my claim looked at that, looked at my doctor note saying that I was unable to work doing that period, and told me that she was going to figure this out and get back to me.
Bad News: The two places I was looking at to maybe docent would have me working too few hours to be useful. Plus, one of them is very snotty and wants me to have a BA before they let me anywhere near anything.
Bad News: The closest branch of the public library is not hiring pages right now.
Bad News: Have I mentioned that I seem to be sleeping 12 hours on, 36 hours off?
Tentative Good News: I have a Thing in the works that might mean a temporary job, but it's far from a sure thing yet. *crosses fingers*
Ambivalent News: I have to pull a résumé out of my ass.
Good News: The SOS is now at roughly 13000 words, including some 700 in Act II. I still haven't the foggiest idea what the plot's doing in Acts II and III, and I still have two major action scenes and a few minor scenes to write for Act I, but it's better than it was last week. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Unrelated News: Mum got to have a "is there a doctor in the house?" situation on the plane home from Florida (she was visiting the grand'rents) because a woman was having a panic attack. They called her by name on the intercom.
