The Frat Party That Wasn't

So I went to my first college party last night. It wasn't a frat, first of all. The ultimate frisbee team has a house in one of the residential neighborhoods nearby, and the roommate's boytoy is on the ultimate frisbee team, so roommate, boytoy, boytoy's roommate, one of my roommate's dance friends, and I went to their party thing. I was the only one not drinking, but it wasn't a big deal, which surprised me. I had exactly one sip of beer (gross) and stuck my nose in a badly-mixed martini and a gin and tonic.

Drunk people are very strange. This one guy was hitting on me the entire time, but he was so drunk, when we got there, even. He kept complimenting me on my shirt, the Asian one from Gold Coast. He thought it was cool, and regaled some more sober guys with a totally made up story about where I got it. It was pretty strange. But, to quote , "at least he didn't say something like 'it would look cooler on the floor *drunken burp*'." But he spilled beer on my shoes, so I wasn't happy.

I also have a theory that all men are at least bisexual, and they just need a certain amount of alcohol in their systems for it to manifest. It was not attractive, trust me: much random ass-slapping and alcohol breath, though I know it was all in jest.

So, in summary, I have learned: a joke that only makes sense when you're drunk; how to play beer pong; that it's not impossible to get away with not drinking; my theory; that parties like this aren't all that much fun, but one goes anyway. That's all the philosophical rambling I can do for now. I've got to eat and then go to that damned theatre meeting.

Drunk people attempting to get it on are scary, Sam.
